Nick is a pub enthusiast through and through. He has run very busy food pubs in recent years and before that ran the bars at an exclusive golf club in Sussex. Now fully enjoying Claygate village life and loving running the Hare and Hounds with the help of his loyal team. In time off he still plays a surprisingly high standard of squash giving the amount of research he also carries out on other local pubs and eateries with his girlfriend Sian and Branston the pub dog.
Vero has been at the pub for 6 years and is the face of l'Auberge. Hailing from the South of France, Vero has experience in many top class restaurants including her own French restaurant in Ewell that she sold when she started her family. Ruth has worked for Nick on and off for 7 years, she is hugely experienced for her age and excels in waitressing, functions, admin and wine tasting.
The calmest and most pleasant chef you could ever wish to work with, Jissin controls the kitchen and his team beautifully. Born in Southern India and holding a degree in hospitality he is a very experienced young chef having trained and worked in two French restaurants before taking up the reins here. You will delight in his food.
Luis is our lovable KP trainee chef. Always keen to please he takes on the worst jobs with a smile and is a well known character in Claygate! You will learn to love him too...
